О проекте

Background

The project is located at a modern agricultural production and exhibition park in Shouguang, Shandong, with installation beginning in spring 2012. Multi-span greenhouses are arranged in rows, with fixed-width service paths between them used for routine inspection, material transfer and visitor access. Agricultural supply equipment needed to be positioned along one side of these paths.

Requirements and challenges

  • Clear outdoor weather resistance requirements: the service paths are semi-exposed, with high temperature and humidity in summer and low temperatures in winter. Equipment surfaces must withstand UV exposure and diurnal temperature swings without early powdering or deformation.
  • No encroachment on passage clearance: the paths must accommodate both small transport vehicles and visitor foot traffic. All equipment, once installed, had to remain within the designated area, with any protrusions chamfered or edge-finished.
  • Alignment with greenhouse work rhythms: equipment had to be distributed in segments according to work frequency in each greenhouse zone. Pick-up points could not be over-concentrated, to avoid backtracking and congestion during peak periods.

Specification and solution

  • Segmented placement, configured by need: 12 equipment points were set along the service paths, each with a different combination based on the function of the adjacent greenhouse zone, rather than a single uniform layout.
  • Metal main structure with outdoor coating: the frames use steel construction with outdoor powder coating, and stainless steel fasteners throughout, addressing corrosion risks in the pathway environment.
  • Replaceable functional modules: worktops and hanging racks were designed as detachable structures based on usage intensity, allowing high-frequency access points to be maintained without compromising the entire unit.

Delivery and outcome

  • All 12 points were installed, covering the main service paths without occupying the transport clearance between greenhouses.
  • After 6 weeks of continuous use, a follow-up visit found no coating peeling, no loosening of structural fasteners, and no reported access issues caused by the equipment.

Client feedback: The units are plain, don't get in the way along the paths, and are convenient to use. Visitors walking past don't find the area cluttered.
