프로젝트 개요
Background
In February 2024, a wedding hall in Riyadh completed refurbishment and prepared to host large wedding celebrations. The interior featured draped fabrics and warm chandeliers as primary decorative elements, with standard banquet chairs in fixed seating. The operator needed all seating linen configured before the March wedding season, covering 320 seats across the main hall and a side corridor.
Requirements and challenges
- High fit precision required: The banquet chairs had slight variations in backrest curvature and seat dimensions. Generic loose-fit covers tended to crease and bunch, compromising the clean appearance against the draped backdrop.
- Two-colour alternating layout: Cream and ivory, two closely matched shades, needed to be arranged by zone. Colour consistency had to hold under warm lighting, with no discernible shade deviation within the same fabric batch.
- Delivery subject to customs delays: Riyadh logistics apply detailed inspection to linen goods. Production scheduling and export documentation needed built-in flexibility to ensure ironing and finishing could be completed before the wedding season.
Specification and solution
- Stretch polyester blend fabric: Selected the high-recovery polyester blend specification from our banquet chair cover range, at 210 gsm fabric weight. Vertical stretch recovery is stable, allowing the cover to conform to and wrap common banquet chair back panels.
- Centre-back slit with tie closure: The back panel features a centre-seam slit, secured with matching fabric ties. Workers can remove or install a single cover within 30 seconds, accommodating the turnaround pace on the wedding day.
- Batch dyeing with colour matching: Cream and ivory were produced under separate dye lots. Samples from each lot were compared under 3500K lighting to ensure no visible colour difference between adjacent zones in the same hall.
Delivery and outcome
- Quantity delivered: 260 sets for the main hall and 60 sets for the corridor, totalling 320 sets, with an additional 32 spare ties.
- Fit accuracy: 20 sets were randomly selected for on-site trial fitting. Backrest tops and seat undersides were fully covered with no slipping or exposed areas, achieving a 100% first-fit pass rate.
Client feedback: Once these covers went on, the lines in the hall looked much cleaner. The staff also found them quick to change, and the turnaround on the wedding day went without delay.
