Leather Office Chair Delivery for a High-Floor Law Firm in Dubai

Background

The project is located in a high-rise commercial building in Dubai. The client is a law firm focused primarily on cross-border commercial matters. The office features extensive floor-to-ceiling glazing, with a warm neutral interior palette. In March 2025, the firm upgraded the furniture in its main lawyer workspace and required a batch of leather office chairs suited to the space, for use at fixed lawyer desks.

Requirements and challenges

Sun exposure and temperature variation on a high floor: Floor-to-ceiling glazing leaves workstations under prolonged natural light, so the leather upholstery needed good lightfastness to avoid visible colour shift or stiffening within six months.
Compatibility with a warm neutral interior: Floors and walls are in beige-grey and light camel tones. The black leather chair body needed controlled gloss to avoid creating a harsh visual break.
Seating comfort for extended desk work: Lawyers sit continuously for more than six hours a day on average. The seat cushion and lumbar support needed to balance support and softness, while allowing smooth movement during frequent daily repositioning.

Specification and solution

Black top-grain leather seat surface: Selected black top-grain leather with a restrained surface finish and a matt-leaning sheen, providing stable contrast against the warm neutral space without appearing abrupt.
Polished chrome five-star base: Fitted with a 350 mm diameter polished chrome base and 60 mm silent castors, accommodating movement across both high-floor carpet and hard flooring.
High-density moulded foam seat cushion: The seat uses 45-density integral moulded foam, with an adjustable support structure built into the lumbar area to maintain seated posture during extended desk work.

Delivery and outcome

26 office chairs: Covered all fixed workstations in the main lawyer workspace, with 2 additional spare chairs for temporary meeting use.
First-pass acceptance: On-site spot checks of seat surface rub fastness, castor rolling noise and chrome plating adhesion all passed client acceptance on the first inspection.

Client feedback: The chairs feel firmer than the previous ones, but after a full day there is no lower back fatigue. The black also fits the overall office tone well.
