A hybrid approach works well: aluminum frame for the structure, plastic seat and back for comfort and color retention. Wooden folding chairs, by contrast, need more maintenance. They look warm and classic for banquet use, but outdoor exposure demands regular oiling or varnishing. If your team will not commit to that schedule, choose plastic or aluminum instead.
