In most commercial settings, a steel frame is the practical baseline. The question is not whether it is steel, but how it is treated. Powder coating outperforms wet paint in almost every way that matters for a bar stool chair: scratch resistance, impact resistance, and long-term color stability under cleaning chemicals.
