A small mismatch creates a ridge you feel through the fabric after six months. This is why visiting the molding floor or asking for cross-section samples of the seat assembly is more useful than reading a catalog. Budget planning for auditorium chairs should include the cost of row spacing, floor preparation, and installation, not just the unit price. A chair that saves twenty dollars per seat but requires custom floor plates or longer installation time often costs more by the end of the project. One practical rule is to ask the supplier to quote the complete row, including end panels, aisle lights if needed, and anchoring hardware. That number is the one to compare. When the hall is empty, the chairs tell you whether the budget was spent on engineering or on marketing.
